How Soul Engraving works
- Engraving gives a piece of gear a number of random options (the option count depends on the item). The same option never appears twice on one item, and fixed options are always granted first.
- Skill options only appear for your own class and are limited by the item's maximum skill option count. The chance of your class's skill options plus the common stat options adds up to 100%.
- Once an option is chosen, its value is rolled separately: low values are far more likely than the top of the range.
- Re-engraving (reset) uses the same odds and replaces every option. Soul tuning re-rolls one option you choose: the options you already have (including the tuned one) are excluded and the remaining odds are rescaled. The Soul tuning mode simulates this.
