Strategy Notes

A summary of how this item is used, based on community strategy guides.

The Heart of Every Fast-Farming Build

The Frozen Orb is a one-of-a-kind sub-weapon (orb) in TBH: it's the only gear that can push cooldown reduction past the 75% cap and shorten skill cooldowns even further. It anchors the AoE Sorcerer farming build, powering that "wipe the wave, fire the next" rhythm. The AoE Sorcerer is currently rated as the fastest party for farming Torment.

Why It Speeds Up Farming

It isn't the orb clearing the enemies—it's the Sorcerer's AoE skills (Meteor Strike / Lightning) with boosted Area of Effect. The Frozen Orb's job is rotation, not damage, and fast farming clicks when these two things work together.

  • Clear waves with high-AoE skills — Meteor Strike / Lightning reach enemies even off-screen, mopping up a whole wave at once, so you stop moving far less often.
  • Cut cooldowns with the Frozen Orb — by shortening cooldowns past the 75% cap, your skills are ready again by the time you reach the next wave, keeping the flow going with zero downtime.

Party Composition

The standard setup puts a Priest on the frontline with a Sorcerer and Ranger in the backline. The Priest's Blessing of Might boosts the Sorcerer's damage, while the Ranger cleans up anything left alive. Sync movement to whoever holds the Knight Boots to keep the whole party's tempo up.

The Special Effect Is Arcana-Only

Only the Arcana grade carries the special effect that pushes cooldowns past the 75% cap—the lower grades (Rare through Immortal) don't have it. If you're building for farming, Arcana is the only choice and the top-priority piece to secure.
