How We Rank Adventurers

CriterionWhat we look at
Damage and handling
  • How much damage it deals
  • How easily it deals damage when you control it
  • Performance as the adventurer you control
Buffs and debuffs
  • How much its buffs and debuffs contribute
  • Disrupting monster actions is rated especially highly
  • Performance when you are not controlling it, such as a strong ultimate

Our Monster Hunter Outlanders rankings are an overall evaluation based on two criteria: damage and handling, and buffs and debuffs. Adventurers that work well in any matchup are rated highly, while those heavily specialized in one element are rated a little lower.

High Damage and Good Handling

Damage and handling are key criteria because they directly affect the damage you deal with the adventurer you control. The higher the damage, the faster fights end, making hunts efficient and stable, so we put weight on how easily an adventurer deals damage when you control it.

Strong Buffs and Debuffs

Besides raw damage, boosting damage through buffs and debuffs also matters. We mainly look at support from ultimates and Squadmate Skills, and rate highly the adventurers that perform well even when you are not controlling them.

Ultimates That Disrupt Monsters Also Rate Highly

Some ultimates can stop a monster's actions. Stopping a monster not only protects you but also creates openings to attack, so it is an important point in our evaluation.
