Energy, the game's stamina, is what you spend on Hunt Requests in Monster Hunter Outlanders. This guide covers how Energy recovers and overflows, every way to refill it (Energy Bottles and Rutacoin), how much Rutacoin each refill costs, and what to spend your Energy on.
How Energy Works
Energy recovers over time. You need it to take on Hunt Requests, which reward upgrade materials.
Once your Energy is full, any more that recovers is stocked up to 1,200, but only at 33% of the normal speed. Letting it overflow wastes most of it, so spend your Energy regularly.
How to Refill Energy

Energy Bottles
An Energy Bottle restores 20 Energy. There's no limit on how many you can use, so as long as you have bottles, you can keep refilling.
How to get Energy Bottles
Energy Bottles come with the subscription sold in the shop. With the subscription, you get one Energy Bottle every day, which raises how much Energy you can use per day and speeds up your upgrades.
How to use Energy Bottles
When you don't have enough Energy for a Hunt Request, you can use an Energy Bottle right there. You can also tap the Energy display at the top right of the menu to check your current Energy and use a bottle.
Refilling with Rutacoin
You can also spend Rutacoin to restore 40 Energy at a time, up to six times a day. The cost goes up with each refill, as shown below.

Rutacoin is valuable because you also use it for recruiting, so save Rutacoin refills for when you really need the Energy.
What to Spend Energy On
Energy is spent on Hunt Requests. They reward upgrade materials for adventurers and Buddies, plus adventurer EXP.
If your hunting power is above the recommended power, you can use a quick hunt to collect the rewards instantly.
Is Refilling Worth It?
Refilling Energy lets you run more Hunt Requests, so you get more upgrade materials and upgrade faster. Running lots of Hunt Requests also raises your Adventurer Rank efficiently, which unlocks rewards and main quest progress and lets you raise your ecology level.
Refilling isn't required, though. Your first priority is to use up the Energy that recovers naturally.
