How it works

Lowers your luck: searches occasionally come up empty (after the injury rolls), crate drops get slightly less likely, and the lottery leans worse. It also eats into luck from other sources, so inspections overlook your contraband less often. Light if you rarely scavenge or gamble. Cannot be combined with Lucky.

Rating

SMajor priority

One point back for lower luck, with no direct penalty to prices or normal customers. The effects are small: searches occasionally come up empty, crate drops get slightly worse and the lottery leans worse. It also cancels luck from other sources, lowering the chance that an inspection overlooks your contraband.

Rock Bottom relies on usable purchase-free finds. Reducing that source is a more meaningful opening cost than in a self-funded workshop.

Perks that work against it

  • Gambling Addiction

Forced lottery spending remains while the random outcomes become worse. Do not combine them expecting the returned points to pay the losses.

  • Proficient Scavenger

More searches still work, but lower luck makes some otherwise successful attempts empty. The extra searches are worth less to a loot-dependent plan.
