Our top SR picks are Madelyn and Raya. In general, it works best to play the Fated Adventurer or an SSR adventurer as your main and put SR adventurers in your team as support, so we rate them mainly on how good their Ultimate (and Core Passive) is.
Madelyn Excels at Healing and Damage Buffs
Madelyn is a supporter whose Ultimate heals the whole party, and her Core Passive also boosts damage dealt. The heal is split into an instant heal and a heal over 10 seconds, and training raises the instant heal up to 50. It starts at only 10, so you need to train her properly to make the most of her heals and buffs.
She Deals Good Damage as Your Main Once You Learn Her
As your main adventurer, she takes some practice to cycle her skills, but she can deal damage despite being a supporter. She is the only ranged SR adventurer, which also makes her safer to fight with.
Raya Fully Restrains the Monster with a Pitfall Trap
Raya's Ultimate puts the monster in suppression and drops it into a Pitfall Trap, temporarily taking away its actions and fully restraining it. Be careful, though: while it is trapped, only some parts can be targeted, and parts like the tail are out of reach.
Ryunosuke Shines as a Fire Supporter
Ryunosuke's Ultimate grants buffs that raise fire damage and nullify status ailments. If you own Midori in particular, he becomes an almost essential fire damage supporter. Without Midori he has fewer uses, but he still works as a general counter against monsters with nasty status ailments.
Luxheart Disrupts Monsters and Adds Damage
Luxheart's Ultimate stuns the monster and leaves it dazed. He can hold up to 3 stacks, so he can disrupt it several times in a row, and using it before an attack lands also helps you defend. While his thunder specialization is active, his Core Passive also increases the damage dazed monsters take, so he contributes to damage too.
He Is Also Easy to Use as Your Main
As your main adventurer, he plays unusually for a Great Sword because he doesn't need to charge, but he is fairly easy to control and deals good damage. He is also the only thunder SR adventurer, so building him is worthwhile just to have someone who can hit that weakness.
Ouyang Varen's Ultimate Protects the Party
When Ouyang Varen uses his Ultimate, he raises his shield to protect himself and his allies from attacks, then deals damage and makes the monster flinch. He instantly moves to your main adventurer, so use it right before the monster's attack lands to protect your main and create an opening.

Should You Build SR Adventurers?
Build Them to Fill Gaps Left by SSRs and the Fated Adventurer
We recommend building your team mainly around SSR adventurers and the Fated Adventurer. If you are short on Assault, Disruptor, or Support, fill the missing types with SR adventurers so that Squadmate Skills charge your Ultimate and deal damage efficiently.
Also Useful for Weakness-Focused Teams
Apart from the Fated Adventurer, every adventurer's main element is fixed, so consider SR adventurers when you build an element-focused team. Ryunosuke in particular boosts fire damage for the whole party, so if you have a fire SSR adventurer, building and using him pays off.
We Recommend Building Them as Supporters
When you build SR adventurers, put the SSRs and the Fated Adventurer you play as your main first, and build SR adventurers in a support role. Their Ultimate is what matters, so raise their Ultimate Charge Rate and element to strengthen their Ultimate and Core Passive.
They Can Still Shine as Your Main
SR adventurers are perfectly capable as your main adventurer, so if there is one you want to play, building them as your main is fine. Especially once you have pulled duplicates and unlocked more of their Insights, they perform on par with SSR adventurers.
Recommended SR Teams
Fire Team
| Assault | Disruptor | Support | Disruptor |
|---|---|---|---|
Fated Adventurer (Great Sword) | Raya | Ryunosuke | Luxheart |
A fire-focused team that makes the most of Ryunosuke's buff to deal damage. The Fated Adventurer can freely change element with their weapon, so we recommend using a fire weapon. If you are worried about HP or don't have Luxheart, you can swap Madelyn in for Luxheart.
Water All-Purpose Team
| Assault | Support | Assault | Disruptor |
|---|---|---|---|
Fated Adventurer (Great Sword) | Madelyn | Ouyang Varen | Luxheart |
A water-focused team that deals damage by hitting weaknesses. Its Ultimates — Madelyn's heal, Ouyang Varen's guard, and Luxheart's disruption — all protect the Fated Adventurer, so it fights steadily.
Swap the Attacker to Use It as an All-Purpose Team
Madelyn and Luxheart have versatile Ultimates, so they also work against monsters that aren't weak to water. If you have an SSR adventurer that can hit the weakness, swap them into Ouyang Varen's slot and use the team as is for a different element.
