About

Mortgage lender and weekly collector

Tells you about a mortgage once your cash covers a down payment. On a later payment day he offers it if your cash is far over the down payment; accepting replaces rent with fixed weekly payments. The last payment is a winning ending; if you do not pay, he repossesses goods (the weeks left do not go down) or the run ends.

SPrepare for this customer
A seller of goods that are hard to get elsewhere, equipment, a reward or an unlock the specialization's route depends on, a deadline or branch to decide in advance, or a danger of major loss such as game over, arrest or confiscation makes advance preparation worthwhile. A high priority does not mean every purchase or report is recommended.
AUseful in the right situation
A main buyer of your goods, a seller of some of your inputs, a side income, optional input, reputation opportunity or conditional risk matters when the matching stock, branch or cash need exists. Check the condition before reserving scarce money or goods.
BOrdinary response is enough
The specialization does not normally depend on this customer's goods or outcome. Serve an appropriate incidental trade when the visitor comes without planning the business around it; a low priority does not remove legal or safety consequences.

Events

Quick summary

  • Once your cash reaches the down payment, he explains the mortgage. On a later payment day with cash far over the down payment, he offers it.

  • Accepting replaces rent with a fixed weekly payment. Deciding later is free; declining ends the offers for good.

  • If you cannot pay, he repossesses goods without reducing the payments left; without enough goods the run ends. The last payment gives the Deed.

Visit 1

When
The first morning on which your cash is at least the current down payment, while you have not bought the shop. The down payment through day 50 is 2500 on Price Gouge, 2000 on Mark Up, 3000 on Thin Margins and 7000 on Red Ink.
What happens
He tells you about a mortgage he can offer later; he does not lend money or take a down payment yet.

Choices

Continue; no alternative choice is offered.

  • A mortgage can be offered on a later payment day once cash is far over the down payment.

Recommended response

This is an explanation of a mortgage, with no loan proceeds, down payment or contract yet. Keep working cash safe and compare the later displayed terms; the next offer needs a later payment day and cash far over the then-current down payment at the morning check.

Notes

  • If he tells you about the mortgage on a payment day, the offer cannot come that same day; it comes on a later payment day at the earliest.

Visit 2

When
On payment days (days 7, 14, 21 and so on) after the day he told you about the mortgage, if your cash is far over the current down payment and you are not already repaying a mortgage, have not turned it down for good and have not bought the shop.
What happens
He shows the current shop price, the down payment, the annual interest rate and the number of weekly payments. On that day he comes after the rent collection.

Choices

Pay the down payment and take the mortgage.

Needs

  • To accept, your cash only needs to cover one down payment (paying the rent earlier that day may have taken it below what the offer needed).
  • Pay the down payment, based on the shop price on the day you accept.
  • Everything on the front and back counters becomes yours.
  • The first mortgage collection replaces rent 7 days later.

Permanently decline the mortgage offer.

Needs

  • You have not bought the shop.
  • He will not offer the mortgage again.

Defer the decision.

Needs

  • You have not bought the shop.
  • Nothing is paid; he can offer again on a later payment day if the conditions still hold.

Continue; no alternative choice is offered.

Needs

  • You have already bought the shop when he arrives.
  • If you have bought the shop by the time he arrives, he leaves without making the offer.

Recommended response

Accept only if replacing rent with the displayed fixed repayments fits your income and the down payment leaves enough operating cash. Asking to decide later costs nothing and preserves future eligible offers; declining permanently ends them. Acceptance makes counter goods yours and starts collections seven days later, while owning the shop before arrival makes the visitor leave without an offer.

Notes

  • The terms are fixed when you accept: later rises in the shop price do not change your weekly payment.
  • Number of weekly payments: 8 on Price Gouge, 12 on Mark Up, 16 on Thin Margins and 16 on Red Ink. The amount borrowed is the shop price minus the down payment. His offer shows the weekly payment, which depends on the amount borrowed, the annual rate and the number of weeks.

Visit 3

When
Every payment day (a multiple of 7) while you are repaying the mortgage. If you signed on day 7, the first collection is on day 14. A Merchant also comes before him that day if one is not already coming.
What happens
He asks for the fixed weekly payment. Paying the last one makes the shop yours; refusing means repossession of some of your goods, or the end of the run.

Choices

Pay this week's installment.

Needs

  • Your cash covers the weekly payment.
  • One fewer weekly payment remains.
  • Pay the fixed weekly amount.
  • On the last payment, receive the Deed.
  • The last payment completes the mortgage: an ending after which you can keep playing.
  • If payments remain, he returns in 7 days.

Do not pay; let him repossess goods.

Needs

  • Your eligible goods are worth at least the weekly payment (whether or not your cash could pay it).
  • He takes goods from your eligible stock and leaves a Repo Slip listing them. This does not count as a payment: the weeks left do not go down.
  • The number of payments left stays the same; he returns in 7 days.

Do not pay when your goods cannot cover the payment.

Needs

  • Your eligible goods are worth less than the weekly payment. You can refuse even if your cash could pay.
  • Refusing without enough eligible goods ends the run for failing to repay the mortgage.

Recommended response

Pay the installment when possible: it reduces the remaining payments, and the last payment grants the Deed with continued play available. Repossession can keep the run alive when eligible goods cover the installment, but takes stock without reducing the number of payments. Refusing without enough eligible goods ends the run, even if you could have paid cash.

Notes

  • Whether he can repossess is judged on the total value of your eligible goods; the goods he actually takes can be worth less or more than the payment. Repossession never counts as a payment.
  • Documents, containers, stuck modules, goods worth 0, goods in a Smuggler's Bay, important items, machines and locked goods are not taken, except items specially marked as repossessable.
