About
Collects the rent and sells the shop
Landlord selling household goods
Collects rent every 7 days while you rent the shop. Missing a payment uses up your Rent Grace; without Rent Grace, the run ends. Buying the shop is a winning ending, and you can keep playing afterwards.
The Landlord comes on a set day to sell a few household goods in one lot, with limits on bargaining. It is not a rent collection.

- SPrepare for this customer
- A seller of goods that are hard to get elsewhere, equipment, a reward or an unlock the specialization's route depends on, a deadline or branch to decide in advance, or a danger of major loss such as game over, arrest or confiscation makes advance preparation worthwhile. A high priority does not mean every purchase or report is recommended.
- AUseful in the right situation
- A main buyer of your goods, a seller of some of your inputs, a side income, optional input, reputation opportunity or conditional risk matters when the matching stock, branch or cash need exists. Check the condition before reserving scarce money or goods.
- BOrdinary response is enough
- The specialization does not normally depend on this customer's goods or outcome. Serve an appropriate incidental trade when the visitor comes without planning the business around it; a low priority does not remove legal or safety consequences.
Events
Quick summary
Every 7 daysPay the rent. Missing it ends the run (Rent Grace lets you carry it over once). The rent rises on every payment day.
Buy the shop once you have the cash
→you get the Deed, no more rent, and you can keep playing.
Days 43, 57, 71 and 85He offers a Vending Fountain or Vending Machine for +150 rent a week
→accept only if you will use it.
Visit 1
- When
- On days 7, 14, 21 and every 7 days after that, while you rent the shop: you have not bought it and are not repaying a mortgage.
- What happens
- The Landlord asks for the rent plus any unpaid rent. You can pay, or buy the shop, only if you have enough cash for it.
Choices
Pay the full rent bill.
Needs
- Your cash covers the rent plus any unpaid rent.
- Pay the rent plus any unpaid rent.
- Your unpaid rent is cleared.
- The rent goes up for the next collection.
- The next collection is 7 days later.
Do not pay; your Rent Grace is used if you have it.
- Your Rent Grace is used up.
- This rent is added to the next bill as unpaid rent.
- You pay nothing now; the next bill includes the unpaid rent.
- The rent still goes up for the next bill.
- Without Rent Grace, the run ends for unpaid rent.
- With Rent Grace, he returns on the next payment day, 7 days later, for the raised rent plus the unpaid rent.
Buy the shop outright.
Needs
- Your cash covers the shop price that day, and you have not bought it yet.
- Pay the shop price for that day.
- Receive the Deed on the counter.
- You reach the buyout ending and can keep playing.
- Joe Wild comes in next to talk about owning the shop.
Recommended response
Pay the rent unless you can afford and want the outright buyout; the latter gives a Deed, an ending and the option to keep playing. Missing payment consumes Rent Grace and carries the unpaid bill forward, while rent still rises; without grace it ends the run. An earlier visit by Merchant can supply cash but does not reduce the bill.
Notes
- Amounts depend on the difficulty and on anything that changes the starting rent. The rent goes up whether you pay or not; unpaid rent is added on top.
Visit 2 (Day 18)
- When
- On day 18.
- What happens
- The landlord offers a handful of goods for purchase.
Choices
Complete a trade
- Buy or sell the goods listed for this visit, within the visitor's budget. What you pay or receive depends on the deal you agree on.
Let the visitor leave without a deal
- This visit ends without a purchase. Later visits follow their own conditions.
Recommended response
This is an optional purchase of household stock rather than a rent concession. Buy only goods with a use or resale margin, or dismiss him; neither choice pays the rent or buys the property.
Visit 3
- When
- On days 43, 57, 71, 85, if you have not bought the shop and lack the Vending Fountain or the Vending Machine.
- What happens
- The Landlord offers to install one that you lack, in exchange for a permanent rent increase.
Choices
Install the Vending Fountain.
Needs
- You do not have the Vending Fountain yet.
- The Vending Fountain becomes available.
- The rent goes up by 150 right away.
Install the Vending Machine.
Needs
- You do not have the Vending Machine yet.
- The Vending Machine becomes available.
- The rent goes up by 150 right away.
Decline the installation.
- Nothing changes; he can offer again on a later date in the list.
Recommended response
Accept the Vending Fountain or the Vending Machine only if you need that machine and its future use justifies the immediate permanent increase of 150 in rent. Declining changes nothing and leaves later scheduled offers possible. Even near a buyout, compare stock and timing rather than assuming an installation is free.
Notes
- Accepting raises the rent by 150; you pay nothing up front for either.
- The offers stop after the fourth date. This visit never ends the run.
