About
Exile who scavenges and hires an investigator
Eleanor has been exiled from the Upper Levels after her mother was accused of a crime. A planted crate can end her story in an arrest; otherwise, buying from her funds an investigation that leads to a choice between saving her mother and publishing seed research.

- SPrepare for this customer
- A seller of goods that are hard to get elsewhere, equipment, a reward or an unlock the specialization's route depends on, a deadline or branch to decide in advance, or a danger of major loss such as game over, arrest or confiscation makes advance preparation worthwhile. A high priority does not mean every purchase or report is recommended.
- AUseful in the right situation
- A main buyer of your goods, a seller of some of your inputs, a side income, optional input, reputation opportunity or conditional risk matters when the matching stock, branch or cash need exists. Check the condition before reserving scarce money or goods.
- BOrdinary response is enough
- The specialization does not normally depend on this customer's goods or outcome. Serve an appropriate incidental trade when the visitor comes without planning the business around it; a low priority does not remove legal or safety consequences.
Events
Quick summary
Day 28A man calling himself her uncle asks you to pass her a crate (Care Package for Eleanor)
→report him. Putting the crate on her counter gets her arrested and ends the story.
Warn her on her next visit and she lets you choose the HydraTech Micro Water Purifier or L'ESSENCE Pheromone Perfume as thanks.
When she is broke and asks for food or drink, give her one
→refusing ends her story.
Then buy what she sells
→once you have paid her 800 in total, the investigation moves on.
Final choiceReturn the drive (her mother lives and you get 300) or publish it (her mother is killed, she joins the Revolution, and new units of Nutrifruit Seed are no longer Infertile from the next day). Either way you get the SYNC Self-Refilling Neuroactive Perfume.
Visit 1 (Day 23)
- When
- On day 23.
- What happens
- Newly exiled, she buys food while expecting her mother's case to be cleared.
Choices
Complete a trade
- Buy or sell the goods listed for this visit, within the visitor's budget. What you pay or receive depends on the deal you agree on.
- The next visit comes on its own day, whether or not you trade now, if its conditions are met.
Let the visitor leave without a deal
- This visit ends without a purchase. Later visits follow their own conditions.
- The next visit comes on its own day, whether or not you trade now, if its conditions are met.
Recommended response
Sell accepted food if the trade suits your stock and cash needs, or let her leave. The next fixed visit does not depend on making this sale, so early trading is not the later food-help requirement.
Visit 2 (Day 25)
- When
- On day 25.
- What happens
- Still unable to return home, she needs household supplies.
Use this as an ordinary household-goods sale, not a donation needed to keep the story alive. Buying nothing or dismissing does not cancel the day-27 visit, and there is no special reward for exhausting her budget.
Visit 3 (Day 27)
- When
- On day 27.
- What happens
- Running short of money, she sells personal supplies.
Buy her personal goods only at a price and quantity you can use or resell. Passing on them does not block the supposed relative's day-28 visit, so you need not spend money merely to progress the story.
Visit 4 (Day 28)
Visitor on this visit: Eleanor's Uncle
- When
- On day 28.
- What happens
- A man calling himself Eleanor's Uncle offers a free crate and asks you to pass it to her.
Choices
Accept the crate and keep it away from her counter
- The crate (Care Package for Eleanor) is free, but it is already stolen; once you take it, it is no longer free. Taking it does not get her arrested by itself.
- Unless you report Eleanor's Uncle, her next visit stays on day 29.
Finish speaking and refuse the crate
- You can send him away once the conversation is over. Refusing does not count as reporting him.
Report the visitor to SecurityRecommended
- What happens depends on the items that are not yours when you report: if any is stolen or serious contraband, it is a valid report; otherwise you get the penalty for a wrongful report.
- If she has not been arrested, she comes on day 29 or later, and you can warn her.
- When you report him, the crate is taken from you as evidence and destroyed after the arrest scene.
Recommended response
Report the supposed relative while the offered stolen Care Package for Eleanor still provides grounds for a valid report, then warn Eleanor on her next eligible visit. Accepting the free crate alone does not arrest her, but placing your crate on either of her counters during a vulnerable visit does; simply refusing it is not the same as reporting him. A successful report removes the crate as evidence and opens her warning reward.
Notes
- On a day when both come, Eleanor comes before Eleanor's Uncle. Once he has put the crate on the counter you can report him, but only after the conversation is over.
Visit 5
- When
- On or after day 29. You reported Eleanor's Uncle and he was captured. You have not yet warned her about Eleanor's Uncle. She has not been arrested. Earliest possible day: 29.
- What happens
- She learns that the supposed relative was a trap and offers a thank-you gift.
Choices
Choose the HydraTech Micro Water Purifier
- Her next visit, when she is out of money, moves to 3 days after this warning.
- Receive 1 HydraTech Micro Water Purifier with 75 durability (its maximum durability is unchanged).
Choose the L'ESSENCE Pheromone Perfume
- Her next visit, when she is out of money, moves to 3 days after this warning.
- Receive 1 L'ESSENCE Pheromone Perfume with 3 uses left.
Recommended response
Choose the HydraTech Micro Water Purifier if a purifier with 75 durability will solve a water bottleneck; choose L'ESSENCE Pheromone Perfume if its three remaining uses suit your trading plans better. Both choices move her food-help visit to three days after the warning, so they do not select different investigation endings. The purifier's maximum durability is not increased by this reward.
Visit 6
- When
- On day 29 if you did not report Eleanor's Uncle, or 3 days after you warned her if you did. Earliest possible day: 29.
- What happens
- Out of money, she asks for food or drink. This visit can also trigger the planted-crate arrest.
Choices
Give her an accepted food or drink itemRecommended
- Buy or sell the goods listed for this visit, within the visitor's budget. What you pay or receive depends on the deal you agree on.
- This counts as helping her.
- If she is not arrested, she comes back to sell scavenged goods 2 days after this visit's date.
Send her away without helping
- If you never help her, she does not come back to sell or to start the investigation.
Place a Care Package for Eleanor you own on her front or back counter
- After a short delay she is arrested. If the arrest fails, the crate is yours again and the trap can work again.
- The crate is destroyed at the end of her arrest dialogue.
- Her arrest gives the reward for a stolen-goods report, without lowering her faction's reputation.
- Her arrest prevents the later helping and investigation visits.
Recommended response
Give an accepted food or drink if you want her investigation route to continue, and keep the planted crate off both counters. Sending her away without ever helping ends the later scavenging and investigation route; handing over the crate has her arrested instead. A successful food-help route schedules her first scavenged-goods visit two days later, if she remains free.
Visit 7
- When
- On day 31 if you did not report Eleanor's Uncle, or 5 days after you warned her if you did. You have helped her with food or drink at least 1 time. She has not been arrested. Earliest possible day: 31.
- What happens
- After receiving help, she begins selling scavenged junk and materials.
Choices
Complete a trade
- Buy or sell the goods listed for this visit, within the visitor's budget. What you pay or receive depends on the deal you agree on.
- When she leaves, every Care Package for Eleanor in your shop stops counting as stolen.
Let the visitor leave without a deal
- This visit ends without a purchase. Later visits follow their own conditions.
- When she leaves, every Care Package for Eleanor in your shop stops counting as stolen.
Buy useful scavenged goods at a sensible price or let her finish without a trade; either way the visit removes the stolen status from the Care Package for Eleanor left in the shop when she leaves. Until that departure, do not place a planted package on her counters, because it still triggers arrest and ends the route. The investigation-plan visit follows its own waiting condition rather than a required purchase here.
Visit 8
- When
- At least 4 days after the scheduled first scavenged-goods sale visit. The investigation-plan conversation has not happened yet. You have helped her with food or drink at least 1 time. She has not been arrested. The first scavenged-goods sale has a scheduled date. Earliest possible day: 35.
- What happens
- She plans to pay an investigator and sells scavenged stock toward the required savings.
Choices
Complete a trade
- Buy or sell the goods listed for this visit, within the visitor's budget. What you pay or receive depends on the deal you agree on.
- Whatever you pay her for her goods goes into her investigation fund.
- Four days after her fund reaches its goal, she can come with the drive.
- Until the goal is reached, she can come again to sell, at least 4 days after her plan visit or her last sale visit, whichever is later.
Let the visitor leave without a deal
- This visit ends without a purchase. Later visits follow their own conditions.
Recommended response
During the investigation-funding phase, payments for her goods build the 800-credit fund, so buy useful stock rather than assuming an unconditional cash donation is needed. Passing on a sale keeps your cash but does not fund progress. Once the fund reaches 800, the discovery can follow four days later; otherwise she may return with another sale after the required interval.
Notes
- Only what you pay for her scavenged goods counts toward her fund; earlier sales of her personal supplies and the food you gave her do not.
Visit 9
- When
- At least 4 days after the later of the investigation-plan conversation and the latest scavenged-goods sale visit. Only after the investigation-plan conversation. Her investigation fund is below 800 credits. She has not been arrested. If one of her earlier visits (investigation plan) is also due that day, that one comes instead. Earliest possible day: 39.
- What happens
- She returns with another randomly generated stock while saving for the investigation.
Buy goods you can use or resell if you want to finish the investigation fund, and remember that the money spent is also working capital leaving your shop. Payments at this phase count toward the same 800-credit target; declining postpones progress rather than choosing a different ending. Further sales are possible while the fund remains short, but are unnecessary once a prior sale has already reached the goal.
Visit 10
- When
- At least 4 days after the day her investigation fund reached 800 credits. Only after the day her investigation fund reached 800 credits. The drive-discovery conversation has not happened yet. She has not been arrested. If one of her earlier visits (investigation plan, scavenged-goods sale) is also due that day, that one comes instead. Earliest possible day: 39.
- What happens
- The investigation reveals a drive containing research that could end dependence on corporate seeds.
Choices
Hear the discovery (no dialogue choice)
- From the next day, the Black Market Thug can come.
Recommended response
Listen to the discovery; this conversation offers no payment or ending choice. It enables the threat visit from the following day, so the consequential decision is still ahead rather than hidden in a purchase now.
Visit 11
Visitor on this visit: Black Market Thug
- When
- At least 1 day after the drive-discovery conversation. Only after the drive-discovery conversation. The threat conversation has not happened yet. If one of her earlier visits (investigation plan, scavenged-goods sale, drive discovery) is also due that day, that one comes instead. Earliest possible day: 40.
- What happens
- A Black Market Thug threatens her mother and offers you money to persuade her to return the drive.
Choices
Hear the threat (no dialogue choice)
- From the next day, she can come to ask for your advice.
Recommended response
Hear the threat through: this visitor cannot be reported or shot, and the conversation has no branch that protects her mother immediately. The actual decision comes when Eleanor next asks for advice; you do not need to buy anything from the threatening visitor.
Notes
- You cannot shoot, report or send away this thug. The choice comes later, when she visits to decide.
Visit 12
- When
- At least 1 day after the threat conversation. Only after the threat conversation. You have not yet decided what to do with the drive. If one of her earlier visits (investigation plan, scavenged-goods sale, drive discovery, threat) is also due that day, that one comes instead. Earliest possible day: 41.
- What happens
- She asks whether to return the drive to save her mother or publish it for the Lower Levels.
Choices
Advise returning the drive to save her mother
- She can come back for the ending from 2 days after the decision.
- Receive the promised payment when the conversation ends.
- Her mother survives and is exiled to the Lower Levels; on the next visit you hear about their life together.
Advise publishing the research
- She can come back for the ending from 2 days after the decision.
- The next day, the one-day news “pastel's Nutrifruit Secret Leaked!” appears.
- From the next day, Nutrifruit Seeds are freed: a Nutrifruit Seed that is not Infertile is worth 8 instead of 40 and looks different, and an Infertile one is worth 4.
- Her mother is killed after publication, and she joins the Revolution.
Recommended response
Return the drive to keep her mother alive and receive 300; publish it only after accepting that her mother is killed and she joins the Revolution. From the next day, newly created units of Nutrifruit Seed lose the innate Infertile trait, which helps continued cultivation, while existing Infertile seeds retain it. A non-Infertile seed then has value 8 instead of 40 and an Infertile seed has value 4, so do not confuse refreshing the price of an old seed with removing its trait. Both decisions still lead to the same final perfume gift, so the reward is not a reason to choose publication.
Visit 13
Appearance depends on earlier choices
- When
- At least 2 days after the day you chose what to do with the drive. You have decided whether to return or publish the drive. The conclusion visit has not happened yet. If one of her earlier visits (investigation plan, scavenged-goods sale, drive discovery, threat, drive decision) is also due that day, that one comes instead. Earliest possible day: 43.
- What happens
- The earlier drive choice determines her mother's fate and her new affiliation; both routes give the same gift.
Choices
Hear the family's outcome (after returning the drive)
- Both endings give the same gift once: a Second Hand SYNC Self-Refilling Neuroactive Perfume.
- She stays in the Lower Levels with her mother, who is alive. The visit ends after the farewell.
After publication, hear her outcome and offer a weapon
- Both endings give the same gift once: a Second Hand SYNC Self-Refilling Neuroactive Perfume.
- She has joined the Revolution and buys a weapon; this visit gives no extra fixed reputation reward.
- Finishing the trade or dismissing her starts the farewell and ends the visit.
After publication, accept the gift and say goodbye without a weapon sale
- Both endings give the same gift once: a Second Hand SYNC Self-Refilling Neuroactive Perfume.
- The farewell still plays when dismissed; selling a weapon is not a condition for the gift.
Recommended response
Both routes give one Second Hand SYNC Self-Refilling Neuroactive Perfume; its base value is not cash paid into your account. The return-drive route ends with her family together, while the publication route makes her a weapon buyer for the Revolution. Selling a weapon or saying farewell on that route both retain the gift, with no extra fixed reputation award for the final sale.
