About

Scavenger who sells, helps and borrows

Georgio, a scavenger, comes on set days with dubious bargains and useful supplies, and offers to help at the Dumping Ground. Later he borrows money and repays four times the amount, but only when conditions on days and bills are met.

SPrepare for this customer
A seller of goods that are hard to get elsewhere, equipment, a reward or an unlock the specialization's route depends on, a deadline or branch to decide in advance, or a danger of major loss such as game over, arrest or confiscation makes advance preparation worthwhile. A high priority does not mean every purchase or report is recommended.
AUseful in the right situation
A main buyer of your goods, a seller of some of your inputs, a side income, optional input, reputation opportunity or conditional risk matters when the matching stock, branch or cash need exists. Check the condition before reserving scarce money or goods.
BOrdinary response is enough
The specialization does not normally depend on this customer's goods or outcome. Serve an appropriate incidental trade when the visitor comes without planning the business around it; a low priority does not remove legal or safety consequences.

Events

Quick summary

  • Days 6, 9 and 18The “relics” are scrap, the water is relabelled and the cigarettes are counterfeit

    →inspect before you buy.

  • Day 15For 50 he helps you at the Dumping Ground for 3 nights (no injuries, 5 more Scavenge attempts)

→hire him if you will go there.

  • Days 22 and 37He has a hidden bounty (100). Reporting him does not stop his later visits, but costs Lower Levels reputation.

  • Day 43Lend him a quarter or half of your cash and he repays four times as much (on a payment day you cannot cover from day 49, otherwise by about day 69)

→lend half if you can spare it.

  • Any Radioactive Waste you dump is brought back to you, so dumping does not get rid of it.

Visit 1

When
On or after day 3. You have dumped at least 1 Radioactive Waste. Georgio has not yet come to bring back your Radioactive Waste. Earliest possible day: 3.
What happens
He brings back the Radioactive Waste you dumped.

Choices

Take the waste back (no dialogue choice)

  • You get back as much Radioactive Waste as you dumped, as your own items.

Recommended response

There is no reply that makes the dumped waste disappear: you receive the quantity you dumped back as your property. Do not budget dumping as permanent disposal when planning storage or inspection exposure.

Visit 2 (Day 6)

When
On day 6.
What happens
He offers supposed relics that are ordinary scrap underneath.

Choices

Complete a trade

  • Buy or sell the goods listed for this visit, within the visitor's budget. What you pay or receive depends on the deal you agree on.
  • The next visit comes on its own day, whether or not you trade now, if its conditions are met.

Let the visitor leave without a deal

  • This visit ends without a purchase. Later visits follow their own conditions.
  • The next visit comes on its own day, whether or not you trade now, if its conditions are met.

Report the visitor to Security

  • What happens depends on the items that are not yours when you report: if any is stolen or serious contraband, it is a valid report; otherwise you get the penalty for a wrongful report.
  • The next visit comes on its own day, whether or not you trade now, if its conditions are met.

Recommended response

Check the actual contents and value rather than paying for the relic names: these offers are ordinary scrap underneath. Buying or declining does not gate his later fixed visits, and a false name alone does not make a report valid.

Visit 3 (Day 9)

When
On day 9.
What happens
He returns with renamed water bottles at a large wholesale discount.

Choices

Complete a trade

  • Buy or sell the goods listed for this visit, within the visitor's budget. What you pay or receive depends on the deal you agree on.
  • The next visit comes on its own day, whether or not you trade now, if its conditions are met.

Inspect the relabelled water before treating the wholesale price as a bargain. Buy for the real liquid and usable containers, or leave with your cash; neither is required for the later backpack or assistance visits. Reporting still needs actual qualifying goods, not just the misleading label.

Visit 4 (Day 12)

When
On day 12.
What happens
He sells the backpack he no longer uses.

Choices

Complete a trade

  • Buy or sell the goods listed for this visit, within the visitor's budget. What you pay or receive depends on the deal you agree on.
  • The next visit comes on its own day, whether or not you trade now, if its conditions are met.

  • The next visit comes on its own day, whether or not you trade now, if its conditions are met.

  • The next visit comes on its own day, whether or not you trade now, if its conditions are met.

Recommended response

Buy the offered backpack only if its carrying capacity solves a real supply problem at an acceptable price. Declining does not remove the day-15 assistance offer, and reporting is not a guaranteed bounty on this visit.

Visit 5 (Day 15)

When
On day 15. You did not choose the Maimed starting perk, which bars you from the Dumping Ground.
What happens
He offers to help you at the Dumping Ground for several nights, for a fee.

Choices

Pay 50 credits for 3 nights of help

Needs

  • Have at least 50 credits
  • You pay only if Georgio's Assistance actually starts.
  • Once started, Georgio's Assistance lasts for the nights you paid for: No injuries and 5 more Scavenge Attempts at the Dumping Ground. If the Dumping Ground already has as many events as it can hold, it does not start.
  • The next visit comes on its own day, whether or not you trade now, if its conditions are met.

Decline the help

  • He leaves; you pay nothing and get no help.

Pay 50 for three nights only if you will visit the Dumping Ground during that period: active assistance prevents injuries and adds five Scavenge Attempts there. If the event cannot start because the location's event slots are full, the fee is not taken; declining pays nothing and supplies no assistance. There is no bounty merely for refusing or reporting an ordinary service offer.

Visit 6 (Day 18)

When
On day 18.
What happens
He sells two separately modified counterfeit cigarette packets.

Both Pack of Hemingway Cigarettes offers have been altered separately, so inspect each rather than trusting one result for the pair. Buy only at a price justified by what each really is, or leave; neither choice changes his later fixed visits, and counterfeiting alone does not guarantee a valid report.

Visit 7 (Day 22)

When
On day 22.
What happens
He brings stolen hygiene supplies and has a hidden bounty.

  • Once the visitor is captured, you receive the bounty and Security reputation; perks and the difficulty change the amounts.
  • The next visit comes on its own day, whether or not you trade now, if its conditions are met.

Recommended response

This visit offers stolen hygiene goods and has a hidden base bounty of 100. Report if the cash and Security reputation are worth the Lower Levels reputation loss; otherwise buy only useful stock or let him leave. Capturing him here does not cancel his later fixed visits.

Visit 8 (Day 27)

When
On day 27.
What happens
He introduces Liquid Luck and gives you a free sample.

Choices

Finish the conversation (no dialogue choice)

  • Receive 1 Liquid Luck as your own item.
  • The next visit comes on its own day, whether or not you trade now, if its conditions are met.

Recommended response

The free sample of Liquid Luck is given without choosing a purchase. Keep or use the item according to your plans; accepting this conversation does not commit you to buying more on day 32.

Visit 9 (Day 32)

When
On day 32.
What happens
He now sells Liquid Luck.

This is a paid sale of Liquid Luck, unlike the earlier sample. Buy only for a planned use at the offered price or leave; reporting requires qualifying illegal goods, and the later loan offer does not depend on buying now.

Visit 10 (Day 37)

When
On day 37.
What happens
He sells a stolen Security Department Evidence Locker, and he has a hidden bounty.

  • Once the visitor is captured, you receive the bounty and Security reputation; perks and the difficulty change the amounts.
  • The next visit comes on its own day, whether or not you trade now, if its conditions are met.

Recommended response

This visit offers a stolen Security Department Evidence Locker and has a hidden base bounty of 100. Report if the cash and Security reputation are worth the Lower Levels reputation loss; otherwise buy only useful stock or let him leave. Capturing him here does not cancel his later fixed visits.

Visit 11 (Day 43)

When
On day 43.
What happens
He asks for a loan sized to your available cash.

Choices

Lend one quarter of current cash

  • You pay that share of your cash, rounded down.
  • Receive a Scavenger's Token and a Handnote (his IOU).
  • He comes back to repay by one of two routes; if you lent him 0 credits, he never does.

Lend half of current cash

  • You pay that share of your cash, rounded down.
  • Receive a Scavenger's Token and a Handnote (his IOU).
  • He comes back to repay by one of two routes; if you lent him 0 credits, he never does.

Decline the loan

  • You lend nothing and receive no token or IOU.

Report the visitor to Security

  • What happens depends on the items that are not yours when you report: if any is stolen or serious contraband, it is a valid report; otherwise you get the penalty for a wrongful report.

Recommended response

Lending half gives the largest fourfold repayment, while a quarter leaves more cash for bills and production; decline if either loan would endanger operations. Both loan sizes also give a Scavenger's Token and a Handnote, but a zero-credit loan never produces a repayment. An early repayment can occur from day 49 when a payment cannot be covered, otherwise the non-payment-day route starts after 25 full days; buying the shop does not itself force you to stop playing. Reporting this visit has no fixed bounty just because the speaker is familiar.

Notes

  • The amounts are fixed when he asks. With very little cash, the loan can be 0 credits; there is no minimum amount.

Visit 12

When
Any one of these routes: (1) More than 5 days after the day you made the loan. It is a payment day, every 7 days. The property has not been paid off. You are repaying the property mortgage. Your cash is below the current mortgage payment. You lent him more than 0 credits and he has not repaid you yet. OR (2) More than 5 days after the day you made the loan. It is a payment day, every 7 days. The property has not been paid off. You are paying rent rather than a property mortgage. Your cash is below the current rent bill. You lent him more than 0 credits and he has not repaid you yet. OR (3) More than 25 days after the day you made the loan. You lent him more than 0 credits and he has not repaid you yet. It is not one of the payment days that occur every 7 days. Earliest possible day: 49.
What happens
He comes back to repay the loan.

Choices

Receive repayment (no dialogue choice)

  • Receive four times the amount you lent him.
  • He repays you only once.

Recommended response

There is no negotiation or reward choice: receive four times the positive loan principal once. Do not count that money as available before its visit conditions are met, and do not treat the fourfold receipt as four times the net profit.
