Mold Breaker ignores opposing defensive abilities, a physical attacker trading face-to-face behind Focus Sash. Rock Tomb manipulates opponent Speed; Swords Dance raises power to pressure cycles.
Multiple Rock moves to choose from
Excadrill has many strong moves — pick per team and goal. Rock Slide for power and flinch, Rock Blast multi-hit pierces Focus Sashand similar are also viable.
Deployed as a lead or revenge-killer, reliably processes opponents by pressing physical moves whose consistency rises with the abilityas a face-off slot. Speed-lowering supports teammates; surprise setups can lead to sweeps.
Weak to bulky Pokémon resisting its moves
Excadrill leverages high Attack to KO quickly. If the opponent has bulky physical wall, strengths can't shine, so switch out when attacks aren't going through.

Mold Breaker ignores defensive abilities to attack freelyPhysical Attacker Build. Boost Attack with Swords Dance, then press with STAB attacks off its high base Attack. Moves that lower opponent Speed also support teammates.
Leveraging high Attack and ability, it nullifies defensive abilities while a role of pressuring the opposing team. With excellent Steel/Ground resistances it creates favorable matchups easily and functions as a self-sweeping ace.
Weak to Fire and Water Special Attackers
Mega Excadrill's Sp.Def is only 65, so it struggles vs. Fire and Water special attackers hitting its weaknesses. Especially, it has no damage against Water types, so switching out is best.
