Dragon Dance + Flare Blitz is also strong
Swap setup to Dragon Dance and Fire to Flare Blitz. Fairy/Steel that absorb Dragon Claw take big damage. Roost offsets recoil.
High physical bulk and good resistances create favorable matchups, uses setup moves to break the opposing team — its role. After setup, healing maintains HP and STAB contact moves finish the opposing team.

Base Speed is low, so faster attackers like Garchomp hitting weaknesses are tough. Also bulky chip users like Hippowdon with Earthquake and Stealth Rock chipping are also tough.

From favorable matchups, pressing boosted Fire moves to stress the opposing cycle — its ace role. Weather Grass and Rock coverage punish checks.
Disadvantage when weather-changers switch in
