Challenge of the Roaring Rapids is a Main Story series set in Rosy Mirelands and Wildwater Gorge. It has 3 quests: A Sweet, Sticky Adventure!, The Challenge of Fighting Upstream!, and Land of Raging Currents. Here's every objective in order and what each quest gives you.
Challenge of the Roaring Rapids Overview and Total Rewards

Before You Start: Water Skills and Jeglid
To clear the sweet goo in A Sweet, Sticky Adventure!, you need a skill that sprays water. We used Lilipole's Frogs Love Baths. Lilipole
In The Challenge of Fighting Upstream!, catch a wild Jeglid at the foot of the falls. The objective is marked [Optional], but you can't climb the waterfalls themselves without a Jeglid. Land of Raging Currents has you climb waterfalls with it too.
A Sweet, Sticky Adventure! Walkthrough
A Sweet, Sticky Adventure! is the first quest in Challenge of the Roaring Rapids. Its Log entry reads: "Rosy Mirelands has turned pink from all the overflowing sweet goo... What's going on?" It starts with following Thesseo.
- Follow Thesseo
Follow Thesseo. He's puzzled by the sweet goo covering the whole area.
- Ask the Sugarfish about the sweet goo
Talk to the Sugarfish. You find out that the Princess ordered them to spread the sweet goo.
- Try using a water-spraying skill to clear the sweet goo
Aim a skill that sprays water at the sweet goo and keep spraying until the ground is clean. We used Lilipole's Frogs Love Baths. Lilipole
- Venture deeper into the Rosy Mirelands
Follow the path to the marker near a Bloom.
- Activate the Bloom
Go up to the Bloom and interact with it to activate it. Blooms Guide: Nurture and Wild Surge
- Investigate the changes in Rosy Mirelands
Look around as much as you like, then talk to Thesseo to move the story on.
- Clear the sweet goo with water balls
Go to the big sweet goo glob at the marker and keep hitting it with water skills until it breaks. A golden chest appears in its place.
- Ask the Scrubbit about the Princess
Talk to the Scrubbit and hear about its rivalry with the Princess.
- Go meet the Princess
Go to the marker. A cutscene introduces the Princess.
- Ask the Princess why she's angry
The Princess is Alpha Sugartini (Lv. 63, Ice element), and you have to battle her. After the battle, the conversation continues and a new quest, Proof of Rapids • Sugartini, starts.
- Look closely at the Jeglid
Walk up to the Jeglid. On the observation screen, click both clues, Jeglid Injured and Jeglid's Gaze, to check on it.
- Head toward the gorge
Follow the marker toward the gorge and talk to Thesseo near the entrance to the Jeglid's home.

The Challenge of Fighting Upstream! Walkthrough
The Challenge of Fighting Upstream! is the second quest. Its Log entry reads: "Charge ahead! Climb higher! Brave the raging rapids head-on!"
- Reach the entrance to Wildwater Gorge
Go to the marker at the entrance to Wildwater Gorge.
- Swim upstream to the end of the rapids
Head upstream against the strong current toward the marker. You can swim, or walk along the shallow parts.
- Rest for a moment on the little island
Stop at the small island in the middle of the river to meet up with Thesseo and Pip.
- Swim upstream to the end of the rapids
Keep going upstream until you reach the foot of the waterfalls.
- Head for the top of the falls ([Optional] Catch a Jeglid)
Catch a wild Jeglid nearby. The objective says [Optional], but you can't climb the waterfall itself without one. At the waterfall, climb it with the Jeglid when the climb prompt appears. At the top, talk to Thesseo, who suggests looking around for hidden treasure.
- Explore the area
Go to the spot where Lyrelle is standing.
- Touch the mysterious mechanism
Go up to the ancient mechanism and touch it. Thesseo's tiredness goes away completely.
- Climb to the top of the falls
At the next waterfall, climb it with the Jeglid and dodge the falling rocks on the way up.
- Explore the area
Head to the next mysterious mechanism.
- Touch the mysterious mechanism
Touch the second mechanism to activate it.
- See what Thesseo found
Climb up to the cave entrance behind the waterfall near the mechanism.
- Follow Thesseo
Follow Thesseo deeper into the cave as he looks for treasure.
- Defeat the Ekrim and take the treasure
Defeat the wild Ekrim guarding the chest, then open the chest.
- Inspect the treasure
Go to the marked chest and check what the Ekrim was hiding.
- Leave the cave
Follow the exit marker out of the cave and touch the mechanism on the way.
- Climb to the top of the falls
The next waterfall is much higher. Climb it with the Jeglid while dodging the falling rocks.
- Explore the area
Head to the marker for the last mechanism.
- Touch the mysterious mechanism
Touch the third mechanism to finish the quest.

Land of Raging Currents Walkthrough
Land of Raging Currents is the last quest in Challenge of the Roaring Rapids. You battle Omega Jeburst at the summit, and the quest ends with your report to the chief of Mirrorsea Village.
- Explore the area
The other 3 objectives are marked [Optional] on screen: Ask the Jeglids here for information, Investigate the mysterious stone tablet, and Ask Jett for information. You can do them in any order, and we recommend doing all 3. The Jeglids tell you that a Jeglid who reaches the summit can evolve into a Jeburst, the stone tablet tells you to "shatter the obstacle," and Jett says he wants to climb even higher.
- Smash the boulder in the way
Use a heavy attack to break the boulder blocking the way. Normal attacks don't break it. A path deeper into the cave opens.
- Explore deeper into the cave
Go deep into the newly opened cave until you find a waterfall inside.
- Reach the summit
Climb the waterfall inside the cave with the Jeglid to reach the summit.
- Talk to the Jeburst
Talk to the Jeburst and accept its trial so it will teach you the hymn.
- Defeat the Jeburst
Battle Omega Jeburst (Lv. 65, Water element). When you win, the conversation continues.
- Learn the hymn from Jett
Talk to Jett, who has now evolved into a Jeburst. He tells you to use the hymn to awaken the Waters of Vigor, and a new quest, Proof of Rapids • Jeburst, starts.
- Inspect the underwater structure
Go to the marked spot at the water's edge and select Inspect. A cutscene shows an ancient structure rising out of the water.
- Head to the top of the falls
Climb the waterfall leading to the structure with the Jeglid.
- Enter the ancient structure
Walk up to the statue in the middle of the structure to start a cutscene.
- Return to the Tide Pillar
Open the map and teleport to the Tide Pillar.
- Offer the Waters of Vigor
Go up to the Tide Pillar's fountain and select Offer. A major story cutscene plays.
- Report to Astra
Select Contact Astra to call Nicole and report what you found.
- Report to the chief
Go to the chief's home in Mirrorsea Village and talk to her. This finishes Challenge of the Roaring Rapids.
