Rainbow of the Ground is the Breezy Plains main story arc, and it stops three times to make you rank up. This walkthrough follows the objectives in play order and folds in all four promotion assessments, the Elite Training tasks that gate them, and every theory test answer.

Ancient Sacred Fragrance and the First Gate

Rainbow of the Ground opens with the sub-quest Ancient Sacred Fragrance in Breezy Plains. The quest asks you to recreate an ancient fragrance by gathering three ingredients from the Mistwoods, Echoback Landing, and the Russet Highlands.

Completing it rewards Safaris x1,200, Irisalis Petal x2, Growth Fruit x10, Credits x50,000, Aniimo EXP x7,200, and Aniipod Mega x10.

Before the story continues you have to clear three gating objectives: finish the required quests in Elite Training Chapter 2, reach level 35, and advance to Student III. Main story progression is locked until all three are done.

Student III Promotion: Legacy's Protection

Elite Training Chapter 2 is called Charge Into Battle!. It starts with five tasks and you only need any four of them: visit the place where dreams come true, own your Homeland, earn the Bronze Collection Badge in Beast Fang Ridge, own 1 Aniimo with Resonance raised to Gamma Stage, and challenge the Alpha of Argent Strait: Tubster.

Promoting to III Student needs character level 35 and four required quests in Chapter 2. The promotion raises your level cap to Lv.40.

Once the four tasks are done and you hit level 35, Dr. Lewis calls to start the Growth Story promotion quest.

That quest is Promotion: Legacy's Protection, and it sends you to Beast Fang Ridge to find Jilly.

The Promotion: Legacy's Protection quest screen

It rewards four character skills, Tweetin' Target, Plushie Pummel, Quick Twine, and Elemental Ward, plus a World Aniimo Level Up and 6 Report Cards.

Before the duel, Jilly asks for help with a locked chest. Open the Observe screen on it and select both initial clues to reveal the final one, then interact with that to open the chest and find the Carried Item Ferocious Fang. Jilly offers it as the reward for passing the duel.

The assessment duel against Jilly recommends Lv. 35 with Water and Holy, runs on a 5 minute limit, and is won by defeating all of her Aniimo. She fields three at Lv.35: Scorchhowl (Fire), Magmarex (Fire), and Somniwing (Grass, Wind).

Winning teaches Lunara the BREAK skill Lunar Eclipse. It is a Magical skill with Might 60, EP Cost 20, BREAK 150%, and a 1 second cooldown, and it pours the power of moonlight onto the target for extra BREAK damage scaled to the Aniimo's level.

Back at the Outpost, Dr. Lewis gives the theory test. Question 1 asks what the benefits of triggering BREAK on enemy Aniimo in battle are, and the answer is D. All of the Above.

Question 2 asks what the benefits of obtaining an Area Collection Badge by catching Aniimo are, and the answer is B. All of the Above.

Question 3 asks how you obtain Dewdrop Crystals used to raise an Aniimo's Resonance Star Rank, and the answer is C. Defeating Alpha Aniimo. This one only offers three choices.

Super Truffle and Incense of Tolerance

With Student III behind you, the story resumes. The first ingredient is the Super Truffle, deep in the Mistwoods, guarded by the boss Tucking. The fight recommends level 35 and Fire, Wind, or Dark.

Tucking is protected by an Earth Shield. Dodge its attacks until it slams its large hammer into the ground, then attack the stuck hammer until it breaks, which forces Tucking into a vulnerable Break state.

The second ingredient is at Echoback Landing, and Nicole spells out the catch: she remembers the Aniimo there behaving differently at night, and suggests coming back after dark.

Gathering the Incense of Tolerance is night only. If it is daytime, use the Day and Night Switch to change the time to night and the quest marker appears.

Aged Omega Sherro guards the spice. That fight recommends level 45 and Ice, Electric, or Grass.

Beating it hands over the Shell Sword keepsake, described in game as a weapon left behind by Sherro, covered in battle scars, that now seems to serve only as a keepsake.

Grade I Wayfarer Promotion: Stardust's Blessing

The story now blocks again, and this time it wants Grade II Wayfarer, which means ranking up twice. Grade I comes first, through Elite Training Chapter 3, Vein's Power and Song of the Echoback. It starts with five tasks and needs any four: earn the Bronze Collection Badge in Echoback Landing, nurture the ecosystem once in Breezy Plains, infuse energy into the Branch in Breezy Plains a total of 15 times, venture deep into the Mistwoods and obtain the Super Truffle, and equip 1 Epic Held Item on an Aniimo.

Promoting to I Wayfarer needs character level 40 and four required quests in Chapter 3, and raises the cap to Lv.45.

The promotion quest is Promotion: Stardust's Blessing in Berylline Vale, and it opens by asking you to answer Dr. Lewis's call.

It rewards two character skills, Revive and Research Expert, plus a World Aniimo Level Up and 6 Report Cards.

The duel against Loulla recommends level 40 with Wind and Holy, on a 5 minute limit.

Question 2 asks how you obtain Held Items that strengthen Aniimo abilities, and the answer is A. Defeat the Alpha Aniimo.

Question 3 asks the fastest way to obtain Sparkling Aniimo, and the answer is A. Throw a Sparkling Cube at any Aniimo.

Passing ends with the Capability Awakening tutorial. It spends 1 Star Dust to raise a stat you pick by one point and to boost that Aniimo's Acquired Potential.

The tutorial text explains that Capability Awakening increases an Aniimo's Acquired Potential, that the higher the Potential the greater the attribute gains, and that awakening count can also be passed on to Aniimo of the same family via the Inheritance feature.

Grade II Wayfarer Promotion: Core's Nurture

Elite Training Chapter 4 is Potential Awakened and Pulse of the Berylline Vale. Its five starting tasks are: go to Echoback Landing and search for salt, earn the Bronze Collection Badge in Berylline Vale, complete 5 Pathfinder Challenges in total, perform Capability Awakening for Aniimo 5 times, and spend a total of 200,000 Credits.

The Promotion: Core's Nurture quest screen

It rewards two character skills, Bubble Gun and Nimble Dodge, plus a World Aniimo Level Up and 8 Report Cards.

The duel against Aster recommends level 45 with Wind, Fire, and Dark, on a 5 minute limit. He fields three Aniimo at Lv.45, two Grass and one Grass and Water.

Chapter 4's theory test opens with a negative question: Wild Surge can make large numbers of Aniimo appear at the same time, so which of the following will not trigger it. The answer is A. Wait for special weather, and this question only offers two choices.

Question 2 asks where to obtain Star Dust to awaken an Aniimo's Capability and boost its attributes, and the answer is B. Defeating Alpha Aniimo.

Question 3 asks how to obtain the Aniimo Besauce, and the answer is A. Pathfinder Challenge.

Incense of Courage and the Warrior Quest

The last ingredient is the Incense of Courage in the Russet Highlands, and it is gated behind a side quest. Talk to Sorora and complete the Journey Quest Warrior, under The Legend of Helmuts and Helgons, which recommends level 48. Finishing it updates the main story objective.

Rainbow of the Ground and the Final Gate

With all three scents blended, the questline moves to its title sub-quest, Rainbow of the Ground, at Tideblossom Coast.

It rewards Safaris x2,000, Irisalis Petal x2, Growth Fruit x10, Credits x50,000, and Aniimo EXP x8,000.

This is the third and last gate. You need the required quests in Elite Training Chapter 5, level 50, and Wayfarer III before the story continues.

Grade III Wayfarer Promotion: The Secret on the Wind

Elite Training Chapter 5 is Proof of Trials and Dance of Flowers and Thorns. Its five starting tasks are: obtain the Flameheart Stone and give it to Sunia, earn the Bronze Collection Badge in Rosetower Woods, complete 1 Easy Holo-Battle Sim, upgrade any Held Item to level 5, and use Nurture 5 times in total in Breezy Plains.

It rewards three character skills, Go, Rubber Duck!, Measures Strike, and Sure Shot, plus a World Aniimo Level Up and 8 Report Cards.

The practical assessment is a duel with Wendell, recommending level 45 with Fire, Holy, and Electric. He fields four Aniimo at Lv.45, all Wind and Grass.

There is a second fight straight after. Wendell turns into a Mysterious Figure and demands an immediate rematch with the same four Aniimo raised to Lv.50, so the run recommends level 50.

Chapter 5's theory test asks which of the following can help you clear higher-difficulty Holo-Battle Sim, and the answer is A. All of the Above.

Question 2 asks how to obtain Cores that enhance an Aniimo's Held Item stats, and the answer is A. Defeat Alpha Aniimo.

Question 3 asks which of the following can make Prismana Form Aniimo appear in the world, and the answer is A. All of the Above.

Amethyst Tree, Irelia, and A New Journey

The Amethyst Tree domain recommends Lv.55, and entering starts a boss fight against Irelia at Lv.50 with the Grass element. Your deployed team is locked on entry.

In the fight, follow the chains connected to Irelia to find the active mechanisms. Destroying each one forces her into a Break state for a heavy damage window. Destroy all 3 mechanisms and deplete her HP to win and restore the Vein.
