A Fragrant Journey: Russet Highlands Walkthrough

A Fragrant Journey: Russet Highlands is a Journey Quest where you give the Flame Flower Root to Grace, then give the Flame Flower and the Burst of Red perfume she makes to her sister Cress. Here's how to start it, where the items come from, each objective in order, and what you get for finishing it.

How to Unlock A Fragrant Journey: Russet Highlands

The quest starts from the Clue "Eternal Red", shown as a lightbulb icon on the map in Bloomville. Its details open with "Grace and Cress are famous perfumers in Bloomville and inheritors of the legendary perfumes." and end with "Go to Bloomville and chat with Grace."

Travel to Bloomville and talk to Grace to start the quest. You can accept it before you finish Warrior (Russet Highlands). Only the first objective, giving the Flame Flower Root to Grace, has to wait until you finish Warrior.

Required Items

The Flame Flower and the Flame Flower Root you hand over both come from the Journey Quest Warrior (Russet Highlands), and both are listed in its quest rewards. Finish Warrior before the delivery objectives.

Give the Flame Flower Root to Grace
For the first objective, "Give the flame flower root to Grace.", talk to Grace outside her workshop in Bloomville. On the Deliver Items screen, select the Flame Flower Root (x1) and press Confirm to hand it over.
Receive the Burst of Red
After a short conversation, Grace makes the perfume Burst of Red, a quest item, and hands it to you. Its description opens with "A legendary perfume crafted by Perfumer Grace using the roots of flame flowers as the main ingredient, although it is still a work-in-progress."
Give the Flame Flower and Burst of Red to Cress
Next, two objectives appear at once: "Give the flame flower to Cress." and "Give the Burst of Red to Cress." Follow the quest marker to Cress near Bloomville. On the Deliver Items screen, select the Flame Flower (x1) and the Burst of Red (x1), then press Confirm to hand both over together.
Receive the Eternal Red
When the conversation with Cress ends, the quest is complete and you receive the Eternal Red Curio along with the other rewards. Its description opens with "Opposites create eternity in their clash."
