Alpha Bouldus is a Lv.43 Rock element boss in the Breezy Plains. Here's its full moveset, including the arena it traps you in, plus its elemental weaknesses and how to catch it once it's down.

Where to Find Alpha Bouldus

Alpha Bouldus appears in the northern part of the Breezy Plains, on the high ground facing the sea. It respawns 20 seconds after being cleared. There are no prerequisites to fight it: head to its location and the battle begins.

Alpha Bouldus Weaknesses

Alpha Bouldus is a Rock element Aniimo, so Grass and Water element attacks both land as Super Effective. Electric, Fire, Ice and Rock element attacks are all reduced to Not Effective, so leave those behind. Either of the two good picks works equally well: Grass and Water Aniimo hit hard and also resist Alpha Bouldus's own Rock attacks, so there's no downside to taking either.

Alpha Bouldus Moves and Attacks

MoveHow to Dodge It
Rock ThrowAlpha Bouldus punches and sends rocks flying forward. Keep out of the line it is facing.
BounceAlpha Bouldus leaps up and slams down 3 times in a row. Red circles mark each landing spot in advance, and the line does not track you, so step off the markings and it will miss.
Melee ComboAlpha Bouldus strings together melee swings, finishing with 2 slams of both hands. Back off until the combo ends rather than trading hits.
Rolling ArenaAlpha Bouldus walls off the fight with an arena of rock pillars and rolls around inside it for a while. Stay out of its path; it stops on its own eventually, and once it does it is left weakened, which is your window to attack.
