CP (Combat Power) sums up how strong an Aniimo really is, and there are several ways to push the number higher. Here is every method the game offers, from simple leveling to Capability Awakening.

What Is Aniimo CP?

CP, short for Combat Power, is the single number that sums up how strong an Aniimo is right now. It factors in the Aniimo's base stats, whatever Held Items it has equipped, and any other bonuses layered on top.

You can check any Aniimo's CP from its Information screen: open the Aniimo Management menu and select the Aniimo you want to look at.

CP is not just a reflection of level. It is calculated from several factors together: base level, the Aniimo's individual stat values, the level and rarity of its equipped Held Items, and personality-based stat modifiers. The rest of this guide walks through the ones you can actually act on.

Level Up Your Aniimo

Leveling up an Aniimo raises its base stats directly, which pushes CP up as a result. Higher-level Aniimo generally sit at a higher CP than lower-level ones, so regular leveling is one of the simplest ways to keep CP climbing.

Equip and Upgrade Held Items

Held Items have a big impact on CP: the higher an item's rarity and enhancement level, the more CP it adds. Upgrading and equipping the best Held Items you have is one of the most effective ways to raise CP quickly.

Held Items themselves come from defeating Alpha Aniimo, so battling Alphas doubles as your main source of CP-boosting gear.

Use Resonance Star-Up

Using Resonance Star-Up materials raises an Aniimo's Resonance level, which grants permanent stat increases. Since those stat gains carry over for good, Resonance Star-Up is another direct route to a higher CP.

Resonance Star-Up costs more than just Resonance Material: it also needs Evolution Material. Which Evolution Material you need depends on the Aniimo, and like Held Items, it is obtained by farming Alpha Aniimo.

Use Capability Awakening

Capability Awakening lets you spend Star Dust and Star Sand to raise an Aniimo's Acquired Potential for one attribute you choose.

Every Aniimo attribute carries two separate values: an Innate Potential fixed at birth that only special items like Capafruit can raise, and an Acquired Potential you build up through Capability Awakening.

The two combine into a single cap: an attribute's Innate Potential plus its Acquired Potential cannot exceed 20.

The higher that combined Potential is, the bigger the stat gains an Aniimo gets each time it levels up.

Raising Acquired Potential improves the chosen attribute directly, which in turn can push CP higher too.

Later Capability Awakening upgrades cost more: they specifically call for higher-rarity items than the earlier ones did.

The number of Capability Awakenings an Aniimo can perform is not fixed either. Reaching certain Resonance Star Ranks and leveling up both increase how many are available.

Capability Awakening itself only becomes available once you have completed the "I Wayfarer" (Level 40) Promotion quest.

Resetting Awakened Capability

If you change your mind about which attribute you boosted, Awakened Capability can be reset.

Two things to know before you reset: it only works for an Aniimo at level 60 or below, and it costs 200,000 credits, though you get 100% of the items you spent returned to you afterward.

Where to Get Star Dust and Star Sand

Star Dust and Star Sand are not limited to one source. You can pick them up from Elite Training rewards, by defeating Alphas, through Upgrade Level, Pathfinder Challenge, the Companion Handbook, and the Shop and Stamp Shop.
