Stars and the Knight stays hidden until you defeat Aged Omega Sherro, and partway through, Sparkly Shelly asks for the Shell Sword that fight drops. This guide covers how to unlock it, every objective in order, and its rewards.

How to Unlock Stars and the Knight

Stars and the Knight starts hidden. It only appears on the map after you defeat Aged Omega Sherro, through the Clue "The Aging Sherro" (the lightbulb icon).

The Clue's description tells the legend of the Omega Sherro and ends with the task "Defeat the aging Omega Sherro."

  • Defeat Aged Omega Sherro and keep the Shell Sword it drops
  • Be Twined with a Susuta-family Aniimo when you talk to the Susutas

In our run, the Aged Omega Sherro fight recommended level 45 and Ice, Electric, or Grass Aniimo.

Find the Shining Shell

The step titles below are the objectives exactly as the quest tracker shows them.

  1. A curious Susuta?

    Go to the marked location and speak with the group of three Susutas. You must be Twined with a Susuta-family Aniimo to understand what they say.

  2. Twine with a Susuta-family Aniimo. / Look for the shining shell [0/3]

    While Twined with a Susuta-family Aniimo, head to the marked location and choose "Dig" on the spots you can interact with until you find the shiny shell.

  3. Check the shiny shell.

    Choose "Observe" on the shell you dug up to learn that it is a Sparkly Shelly.

Patrol the Beach with Sparkly Shelly

  1. Talk to the Sparkly Shelly.

    Sparkly Shelly asks you to help it patrol the beach.

  2. Patrol with Sparkly Shelly.

    Follow Sparkly Shelly to the marked location and talk to it.

  3. Wake Shelly (try using shock waves).

    Find the sleeping Shelly and hit it with a strong skill to wake it up. In our run, Lunara's Lunar Eclipse worked.

  4. Keep patrolling with the Sparkly Shelly.

    At the next patrol point, Sparkly Shelly watches some Susutas digging up another Shelly.

  5. Drive away the Susuta family [0/3]

    Fight and defeat all three Susutas. Winning gives you the Susuta Shovel key item.

The Susuta Shovel's description opens with "A round, adorable little shovel, often seen in Susuta’s paws. But for the Shelly family, it’s not so cute."

Deliver the Shell Sword and the Shovel

  1. Talk to the Sparkly Shelly.

    Talking to Sparkly Shelly wraps up the patrol, and it asks for the Shell Sword you get from defeating Aged Omega Sherro.

  2. Deliver Sherro’s shell sword.

    Talk to Sparkly Shelly and hand over the Shell Sword on the Deliver Items screen.

  1. Say goodbye to Shelly.

    Watch the cutscene as Sparkly Shelly leaves.

  2. Talk to Susuta from before.

    Go back to the first group of Susutas and tell them the shell they found was actually a Shelly.

  3. Give the new Shell Shovel to Susuta.

    Hand over the Susuta Shovel and finish the conversation to complete Stars and the Knight. The tracker calls it the Shell Shovel, but the item you deliver is the Susuta Shovel.

After the Quest: The Turning of the Stars

Once you complete Stars and the Knight, the Rumor "The Turning of the Stars" appears. Its description ends with "Go check on Sherro's beach".

At the marked location, an unresponsive Sparkly Shelly is surrounded by Shellys and a Shelldon, who says a new Knight is about to evolve. Advance the time to finish the evolution, and a Young Sherro appears.

Talk to the Young Sherro to receive an Alpha Shelly Egg and unlock a new boss encounter.
