A Fragrant Journey: Rosetower Woods is a Journey Quest where you help Perfumer Awen brew a perfume from the Whitesnow Rose at the top of Whiterose Tower. Here's what you need first, every objective in order, and what you get for finishing it.

How to Unlock A Fragrant Journey: Rosetower Woods

Go to Awen's location in Rosetower Woods and talk to her to start the quest.

Before You Start

You can accept the quest before finishing Flowers and Thorns - Rosetower Wood, but you can't get into Whiterose Tower until you finish that quest. Thorn vines block the entrance until then. Flowers and Thorns - Rosetower Wood Walkthrough

Bring a Dewy. You need to Twine with it to gather the nectar at the top of the tower.

For the optional objectives, you also need an Aniimo with the Head Hammer skill. Any Aniimo that has it will do.

Quest Overview

A Fragrant Journey: Rosetower Woods is a Journey Quest in The Legend of Flowers and Thorns series, set in Rosetower Woods. Its Log entry says Rosetower Woods is considered dangerous territory by the people of Bloomville, and asks why Perfumer Awen would be there.

A Fragrant Journey: Rosetower Woods Walkthrough

1. Talk to Awen

   For the first objective, "A perfumer somewhere in Rosetower Woods?", talk to Awen at the marker in Rosetower Woods. She tells you about an old perfume workshop.

2. Head to Whiterose Tower

   For "Arriving at Whiterose Tower.", travel with Awen to Whiterose Tower. When you arrive, the entrance is blocked by huge thorn vines.

3. Clear the thorns at the entrance

   For "Find a way into Whiterose Tower.", finish Flowers and Thorns - Rosetower Wood. The thorn vines then disappear and you can go inside.

   
4. Explore the tower

   For "Explore the interior of Whiterose Tower.", go inside, talk to Awen, and look around to find the Whitesnow Rose Research Notes.

5. Gather the Whitesnow Rose nectar

   For "Twine with a Dewy and gather nectar at the top of the tower.", go up to the giant Whitesnow Rose at the top of the tower, Twine with your Dewy, and interact with the rose to gather its nectar. How to reach the top is covered below.

6. Brew the aromathyst

   For "Go to the Dewy nest to brew an aromathyst.", go to the marked Dewy nest and choose "Brew aromathyst" to turn the nectar into a Whitesnow Rose Aromathyst. Its description opens with "Aromathyst crafted with whitesnow rose nectar."

   
7. Give the aromathyst to Awen

   For "Give the whitesnow rose aromathyst to Awen.", go back down to the workshop inside the tower where Awen is waiting. On the Deliver Items screen, select the Whitesnow Rose Aromathyst (x1) and press Confirm.

   
8. Receive the Home perfume

   After a short conversation with Awen, the quest is complete and you receive the Home Curio along with the other rewards. Its description opens with "For some, home is a scent that points the way, leading back to where they began."

How to Reach the Top of Whiterose Tower

Two optional objectives inside the tower clear a mechanism that helps you get to the top. Both use Head Hammer, so Twine with an Aniimo that has it.

1. Ram the iron crate

   For the optional "Ram the iron crate into the stone wall at the end of the track", go to the iron crate nearby and use Head Hammer to ram it forward.

2. Free the jammed gears

   For the optional "Ram apart the stones jamming the gears and restore perfume production", go to the marked gears and use Head Hammer again to break the stones stuck in them.

3. Ride the wind current up

   Clearing the gears creates a strong wind current up the inside of the tower, so you can glide all the way to the top.
