How to Unlock Mysterious Presence - Super Claw Malfunction

This quest unlocks partway through Mysterious Presence, once you've collected 3 Voxel Cubes there. Before it unlocks, Nova contacts you about device failures in Northside.

The quest doesn't unlock with the call itself. Go to the Holo-Lab in Polaris Institute and talk to Nova, and the New Quest pop-up for Mysterious Presence - Super Claw Malfunction appears. Its first objective is "Go to Jiff's shop and investigate the anomaly".

Mysterious Presence - Super Claw Malfunction is part of the Mysterious Presence series of Journey Quests. Its Log entry reads: "Holographic devices in Astra have been malfunctioning a lot lately. Some people even claim they've seen something... strange. What's going on?" The Voxel Cube you get in this quest is one of the 9 you collect in Mysterious Presence.

Mysterious Presence - Super Claw Malfunction Walkthrough

  1. Go to Jiff's Shop and Investigate the Anomaly

    Head to Jiff's Gear Shop in Astra's Northside, at map coordinates -0029, 0426. Talk to Jiff, the owner of the Super Claw, and ask about the device problem.

  2. Investigate the Holo Projector on the Roof

    For "Investigate the holo projector on the roof", climb onto the roof of the Super Claw in front of Jiff. Go up to the holo projector and choose "Strange Flash".

  3. Touch the Anomaly to Get a Voxel Cube

    Investigating the holo projector makes a pixel-like anomaly come out of the device. Touch the anomaly to get 1 Voxel Cube.

  4. Tell Jiff What You Found

    After you get the Voxel Cube, the objective changes to "Tell Jiff what you found". Climb down from the Super Claw and talk to Jiff to explain what caused the malfunction. When the conversation ends, the quest is complete and you get the rewards.
