Ninetales build that invests in Sp. Atk and Speed and uses Focus Sash for guaranteed turn to set up a favorable board. Its Drought Ability sets Harsh Sunlight and Encore disrupts opponents while creating an opening to use Nasty Plot, Playstyle of attacking with boosted special moves is possible.
Fire moves are interchangeable
Weather Ball changes type if Harsh Sunlight ends, so it is interchangeable with other Fire moves like Fire Blast or Flamethrower.Choose Fire Blast for power or Flamethrower for accuracy do so.

Struggles against fast attackers
Since Ninetales has low bulk and depends on Focus Sash for guaranteed turns, when attacked from above by faster attackers, can only act once before being defeated. is also weak to priority-move users that break Focus Sash, so be careful.

Its ability sets snow, and always-hit spread moves pressure opponents — a support/attacker build. Focus Sash guarantees action for reliable screens. In doubles, raising team-wide survival while chipping — suits board-building.
Swap subweapons
Alolan Ninetales' Freeze-Dry is interchangeable with Moonblast or Encore. Moonblast has higher power; Encore raises support performance.
Setting snow via ability and deploying Aurora Veil to reduce team damage is the main role. Beyond support, snow-boosted always-hit Blizzard chips the whole opposing field as an attacker — that role too.
Weak to weather-changing Pokémon
Alolan Ninetales fights under snow, so Pokémon that change weather later are threats. If opposing weather setters appear, lead with a teammate to seize weather.
