Raise your Adventurer Rank by earning Adventure EXP from Daily Adventure Requests, Hunt Requests that use Energy, Story Quests, Free Hunt Studies, Ecological Rank Ascension Challenges and Requests. Daily Adventure Requests alone give up to 3,600 Adventure EXP a day. Higher ranks unlock new monsters, gear upgrade stages and Rank Rewards.
How to Earn Adventure EXP
Adventurer Rank goes up as you earn Adventure EXP. The Rank-up Guide tab of the Adventurer Rank window lists the main sources: Adventure Request, Energy Consumption, Free Hunt Study and Quest Completion.

| Method | Adventure EXP |
|---|---|
| Daily Adventure Requests | Up to 3,600 Adventure EXP per day at 120 Activity |
| Energy Consumption (Hunt Requests) | 200 Adventure EXP for each Hunt Request that uses 20 Energy |
| Story Quests | Varies by quest |
| Free Hunt Study | 300 Adventure EXP per monster once all of its Research is complete |
| Ecological Rank Ascension Challenges | Adventure EXP as a reward for raising your Ecological Rank |
| Requests | Adventure EXP from some Requests unlocked through the story |
Recommended priority: Daily Adventure Requests and Energy Consumption first (5 stars), then Story Quests, Free Hunt Studies and Ecological Rank (4 stars), then Requests (3 stars). Spend your daily Energy before moving on to other quests.
Daily Adventure Requests
Complete the Daily Adventure Requests under Game Modes and fill the Activity bar to 120 to earn a total of 3,600 Adventure EXP per day.

These requests are fairly quick and easy to finish, so clear them first every day.
Spend Energy on Hunt Requests
Each Hunt Request that uses 20 Energy gives 200 Adventure EXP. You can see the Energy cost before you open the Hunt Request window.
Spending Energy also counts toward your Daily Adventure Requests, so you progress your daily tasks and earn Adventure EXP at the same time.

You can refill Energy with Rutacoins or Energy Replenishment Items. Rutacoin refills are limited to 5 per day and reset at 05:00 daily. Each refill gives 40 Energy, and the Rutacoin cost goes up over the five refills.
| Refill | Cost |
|---|---|
| 1st refill | 50 Rutacoins for 40 Energy |
| 2nd refill | 100 Rutacoins for 40 Energy |
| 3rd refill | 200 Rutacoins for 40 Energy |
| 4th refill | 200 Rutacoins for 40 Energy |
| 5th refill | 300 Rutacoins for 40 Energy |

Story Quests That Give Adventure EXP
Story Quests give Adventure EXP and unlock new content, including new monsters to hunt. The amount depends on the quest. For example, one Story Quest in Chapter 2 gives 1,400 Adventure EXP.

Free Hunt Studies
In Free Hunt, each monster has Research objectives. Completing them gives Adventure EXP as a first-time reward, and finishing all of a monster's Research gives a total of 300 Adventure EXP.
You can open Free Hunt from Equipment Supply under Game Modes.

When you farm materials, pick monsters whose Research you have not finished yet so you earn Adventure EXP at the same time.
Ecological Rank Ascension Challenges
When your Adventurer Rank reaches 15/20/25/30/35/40/45/50/55, you can raise your Ecological Rank by one.
Reaching the Adventurer Rank milestone unlocks the Ascension Challenge. Only then can you see the Proof of Mastery Rank and Training Ground requirements for the next Ecological Rank. Meet all of them and clear the Ascension Challenge to rank up.
Raising your Ecological Rank through the Ascension Challenge gives Adventure EXP as a reward.

Requests That Give Adventure EXP
Some Requests that unlock as you progress the story give Adventure EXP. Check each Request's rewards to see whether it gives Adventure EXP.

Benefits of Increasing Adventurer Rank
Story Quests need certain Adventurer Rank milestones to progress. The New Content Preview shows New Monster: Anjanath at Lv. 17, New Building: Gatherer at Lv. 19, and New System: Season and New Equipment: Rarity 4 at Lv. 20.

Higher Adventurer Rank also unlocks more gear upgrade stages, which raise your stats and unlock new skills. For example, upgrading Girros Mail I shows Reach Adventurer Rank 20. This limit is separate from the Keepsake and Buddy level caps set by Ecological Rank.

Each time your Adventurer Rank goes up, you can claim rewards from the Rank Rewards tab of the Adventurer Rank window. Rewards include a chest, Zenny and upgrade materials. The Zenny amount depends on the rank, for example 30K at ranks 17 to 19.

What Ecological Rank Unlocks
Ecological Rank sets your Adventurer Keepsake level cap, your Buddy level cap, the star rating of field monsters, and access to certain difficulty tiers.
| Ecological Rank | Effects |
|---|---|
| Ecological Rank 1 | Adventurer Keepsake Level Cap 30, Buddy Level Cap 20, Monster Star Cap 1 |
| Ecological Rank 4 (Adventurer Rank 30) | Adventurer Keepsake Level Cap 50, Buddy Level Cap 50, Monster Star Cap 6, and Difficulty III Hunt Requests for Keepsake Upgrade Materials, Keepsake Ascension Materials, Buddy Upgrade Materials, Buddy Ascension Materials and Zenny |

Upgrading Keepsakes and Buddies raises your Adventurer's power, which makes harder content easier to unlock and clear. Do each Ascension Challenge as soon as it unlocks.
