This page reflects Update 8 / v0.9.1.2. The game is now on Version 1.0, so some details may have changed.

  • Your weapon equipped, plus Bandages, food, and anything else that heals or keeps you alive

How the Shroud Timer Works

Once you are inside, a bar appears at the top centre of the screen with a countdown on it and the word ENSHROUDED underneath. That countdown is how long you can stay in the Shroud.

Getting Past the Enemies

Enemies in the Shroud cost you both time and health. If one is blocking the way, kill it or run past it, but do not stop for every enemy you meet. You are crossing the area, not clearing it.

Finding Your Way Through the Fog

There are roads inside the Shroud lined with lit lamp posts. Those lights and the road itself are the landmarks to follow when the fog hides everything else.

Extending Your Time in the Shroud

Hourglass Capsules are found inside the Shroud itself. Using one restores the time you have left.

Getting Back to Base After the Rescue

Finding and rescuing the Blacksmith unlocks the Grappling Hook blueprint on its own. You can craft the Grappling Hook at the Workbench afterwards.

After you wake the Blacksmith, the quest tells you to return to your base, and walking back would mean crossing the Shroud a second time.

  1. 1

    Open the world map

Press M to bring up the map.

  2. 2

    Select your base and travel

Click your base icon on the map. Fast Travel, Send Ping, and Set as Waypoint appear. Choose Fast Travel to go straight back to base.
