How to complete the Growing Stronger Together quest? Reach the Farmer's Ancient Vault north of Braelyn Bridge, press its three buttons and summon Emily Fray.

How to Complete Growing Stronger Together
Growing Stronger Together is a main quest with two objectives, Find The Farmer and Summon The Farmer. The Journal says the Hunter remembers where another Ancient Vault was built and believes another sleeping survivor is inside, one who should help with food production and cultivation.

Find The Farmer
Go to the Farmer's Ancient Vault far north of Braelyn Bridge. Press the three glowing buttons inside to open the door with three marks, then awaken the Farmer at the glowing pod behind it with E (Awaken Survivor).

Summon The Farmer
Return to your base, open the list of survivors with the Summoning Staff, and place Emily Fray, the Farmer, at your base. In our playthrough, we then assigned her a bed.

Where to Find the Farmer's Ancient Vault
On the map, the marker for the Farmer's Ancient Vault is far north of Braelyn Bridge.
In our playthrough, we fast traveled to the Ancient Spire (Springlands) and glided north from the top toward the vault. We landed partway, made a few more short glides from hilltops, and walked the rest of the way.
In our playthrough, LOCATION REACHED appeared once we entered the vault, and the objective showed Find The Farmer with Location reached.
Where to Find the Three Buttons in the Ancient Vault
Past the entrance, a large door with three round marks above it blocks the way to the Farmer. You open it by pressing three glowing buttons inside the vault. In our playthrough, there were no enemies inside the vault.
Press each glowing button with E (Use). The light on the button changes from orange to blue.

1st button
From the courtyard with the door, head back toward the entrance and take the side passage to a lava room. Cross it on the rubble and swing over the lava from the ceiling anchor with your Grappling Hook. Climb the metal netting, then time your run past the blue electricity. The 1st button is in the room beyond it.

2nd button
From the 1st button, go into the red room next to it, climb the stairs and the metal netting to the second floor, and swing across from the ceiling anchor with your Grappling Hook. The 2nd button is on the left wall of the room with pots.

3rd button
Go through the hole in the wall, climb the metal netting to the outside, and follow the path along the railing to a lattice door. The 3rd button is at the end of the spike trap room behind that door.
The spikes in that last room rise and sink back down. In our playthrough, we lost about half of our health crossing it.
How to Awaken and Summon the Farmer
In our playthrough, the door with three marks was open once we had pressed all three buttons. At the glowing pod behind it, the prompt E Awaken Survivor appeared. Right after that, the objective changed to Summon The Farmer, and SOUL DISCOVERED! EMILY FRAY appeared along with a Seedbed (+3 more) at Farmer recipe unlock.
Return to your base, equip the Summoning Staff and press TAB to open the list of survivors. Select Emily Fray, the Farmer, under CRAFTSPEOPLE and place her at your base. In our playthrough, Quest reward XP +800 appeared when we placed her.
Target an unoccupied bed and choose Assign Emily Fray. In our playthrough, QUEST COMPLETED! Growing Stronger Together appeared after we assigned her the bed.
