How to Complete We, The Only Ones
We, The Only Ones is a main quest with one objective, Investigate Fort Kelvin. The Journal says that Fenrig Mills, the farmer you rescued, wonders where everyone is. Before he passed, the town of Fort Kelvin was said to be a safe place for travelers, and he suggested you search it for survivors.

Go to Fort Kelvin
Head to the quest marker northeast of the Ancient Spire (Springlands) on the map.

Climb to the Top
Equip the Improved Grappling Hook, grapple onto the anchor on the tower wall and climb to the top.

Collect the Soul
Press E Collect Soul at the skeleton on top of the tower to rescue Hannah Reed.

Where to Find Fort Kelvin
On the map, the quest marker for Fort Kelvin is northeast of the Ancient Spire (Springlands).
In our playthrough, the place name FORT KELVIN appeared when we arrived, and the main gate was closed with iron bars.
In our playthrough, we climbed the rocks beside the gate and the metal netting in a crack in the rock to get inside. After that, LOCATION ABOVE appeared on the compass and Location above under the objective.
How to Reach the Top of the Building
In our playthrough, jumping from the wooden scaffolding beside the tower did not get us up the wall. After we equipped the Improved Grappling Hook, an E prompt appeared at the anchor on a stone ledge of the tower's outer wall, and pressing E pulled us up onto the ledge.
The Improved Grappling Hook's description shows Equip to use, RARE and 30 Stamina Cost, and says it requires less stamina and can be activated at larger ranges.
In our playthrough, after grappling onto the ledge, we walked along the outside of the tower to an opening in the wall, then went up the stairs inside, the metal netting on the wall and more stairs to the top. We grappled only one anchor on the way up. Inside the tower, the line under the objective changed to Search this area.
How to Get the Improved Grappling Hook
The Improved Grappling Hook recipe is unlocked in The Alchemist's Rumors quest. Defeating the boss at the Hill of Scavengers shows RECIPE UNLOCKED! Improved Grappling Hook at Carpenter.
Craft it with the Carpenter. It needs 1 Shroud Core, 2 Shroud Liquid, 3 Shroud Spores and 1 Grappling Hook.
How to Rescue Hannah Reed
At the top of the tower, the prompt E Collect Soul appears at a skeleton lying on the floor. Pressing E shows SOUL DISCOVERED! HANNAH REED and Quest reward XP +150, and QUEST COMPLETED! We, The Only Ones appears.
In our playthrough, the tracker then switched to Increasing Your Follower Amount And Flame Level.
