Reach the Tar Pits west of Ancient Spire

From Ancient Spire in Blackmire, glide west toward the quest marker in the valley below. Follow the route shown here to reach the Tar Pits.

Collect the dagger from the dead monster

Look for the dagger embedded in the dead monster at the quest location. Avoid stepping into the tar, which slows your character down.
