There are 46 Ancient Treasures in Monster Hunter Outlanders: 29 in Giantwood Locale and 17 in Searing Plains. Each one is a chest sealed off by vines, rocks or mud. This page shows every spot on a numbered map with a checklist, how to clear the way to each chest, and what you get from it.

How to Open Ancient Treasure
Opening an Ancient Treasure takes three steps.
1. Find the Treasure
Use the map above, or search for them in game: tap the magnifying-glass icon on the left of the map screen. This search unlocks once a watchtower reaches Lv 5, so level up watchtowers with the Lusterwasps you collect.
2. Clear the Obstacles
Every Ancient Treasure is blocked by vines, rocks or mud, so you can't open it as it is. The item you need is almost always right next to it: burn the vines, wash away the mud or blow up the rocks with the items in the table below. Some obstacles also give way to elemental attacks.

| Nitrotoad | Activate it to blow up nearby vines and rocks. |
| Blazestone | Pick it up and fire it with your Slinger to burn away vines. |
| Firebloom | Pick it up and carry it to the vines or rocks to destroy them. You can only carry it for a short time. |
| Dewnut | Pick it up and fire it with your Slinger to put out burning vines or wash away mud. |
| Aquabloom | Pick it up and carry it to burning vines or mud to clear them. You can only carry it for a short time. |
| Explosive Niter | Pick it up and fire it with your Slinger to break cracked rocks. |
3. Open the Chest
Once the obstacles are gone, interact with the chest to collect the rewards. Tick it off in the checklist above so you know which ones are left.
Opening your first one also earns the achievement Unexpected Surprise.
Ancient Treasure Rewards
Every Ancient Treasure gives the same guaranteed rewards, plus random plant and mushroom materials. The amount of each random item also varies.
