There are 29 Treasure-Hunting Shepherd Hares in Monster Hunter Outlanders: 10 in Giantwood Locale and 19 in Searing Plains. The hare keeps moving around the field. Chase it until it digs into the ground, then search the mound it leaves for the rewards. This page shows every starting spot on a numbered map with a checklist.

How to Get the Shepherd Hare's Treasure
Getting the hare's treasure takes three steps.
1. Find the Hare
Use the map above, or search for them in game: tap the magnifying-glass icon on the left of the map screen. This search unlocks once a watchtower reaches Lv 5, so level up watchtowers with the Lusterwasps you collect.
2. Chase the Hare
Get close and the hare starts running. Keep it in sight and follow it. If you don't lose it, you get the treasure. Setting the hare as your tracking target on the map screen shows its position and distance in the field, so you won't lose track of it.
3. Search the Mound It Leaves
When the hare reaches a certain spot, it digs into the ground and leaves a mound behind. Search the mound to collect the rewards, then tick the spot off in the checklist above.
If the Mound Disappears, Restart the Game
The mound only stays for a limited time. Once it vanishes, the hare also stops appearing on the map. Close the app and open it again, and the hare returns to its starting point.
Shepherd Hare Treasure Rewards
Every hare gives the same guaranteed rewards, including Lusterwasps for leveling up watchtowers, plus random specialty materials. The amount of each random item also varies.
